The next 14 pictures are taken on a main line railway that still uses open wires. This is one of only two sections of railway in the UK that has poles in use.

Every insulator on this pole is wired up apart from the one on the bottom left. The reds at the top are made by Wade and they are darker than the normal Bullers type
